The Library collects books, pamphlets, photographs, screenplays, clippings, posters, programs, stills, etc., pertaining to all areas of motion picture history and development such as law, labor, local history, oral history, social history, and women. Special collections cover prominent individuals and major entertainment organizations. Italians and Italian-Americans are included in all aspects of the collection.
