Luisa Del Giudice is committed to spiritual and compassionate social action. She is a trained spiritual director engaged in “deep listening” to sacred stories and to the discernment process. She has received training in the “Art of Spiritual Direction” from Stillpoint Center for Christian Spirituality and is a member of SDI – Spiritual Directors International. She is a long-time parishioner of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Westwood, serves on the Diaconal Committee and the Peace and Justice Commission of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, as well as on a variety of boards and commissions devoted to discernment, interfaith peace and justice, social equity. Together with the Rev’d. Joanne Leslie (former professor of Public Health at UCLA), she directs Los Angeles’ first “Beijing Circle” addressing the Beijing Platform for Action (cf. 1985 Women’s World Congress) as well as the UN Millennium Development Goals—which disproportionately affect women globally—and works for positive change in our own communities. She has lead workshops, organized spiritual programs and retreats, and serves her various faith and spiritual communities in a variety of ways.
